Beutiful Bali.

Arrived In Bali on Sunday, and immediately it was Ferking hot again!! The most humid place so far!
Upon arrival, it was alittle bit chaotic! We got shuffled into a queue and had to buy a visa, which was $25 wach, then into another queue to get through immigration, which took forever! Then, when we finally got our bags, we then had to pass each bag through a scanner before we could even get out! When we finally got outside, the humidity was incredible! Within 2 minutes I was sweating like a fat bloke in a pie shop!!

Got a taxi to the hotel for only 3 Quid, but, what was slightly unnerving was the fact that when we got to the hotel, we were stopped at the entrance by armed security who did a bomb search of the car berfore we were allowed in!! *feck* And there are security all around the hotel, and you have to have a guest ID card with you at all times for security! At least we feel safe with all the security!!

The hotel was a surprise. Again, bloody nice! We were greeted at reception with a cold towel and a jelly! Bloody nice! The room was nice as well, not huge, but nice, clean and cool. The hotel itself, I think is bloodly lovely. Done in a Balanise style, with lovely lawns, a great pool with swim up bar and big four poster sunbeds! It is right on the beach as well, which is always nice!

Once we checked in, we just had a wonder round the hotel complex and found a great place to sit and have a beer, a nice big sofa overlooking the beach and sea! So we sat there for a couple of hours and sunk several "Bintang", which is the local beer! It just happened to be happy hour as well, so we ended up sitting there and watching the sunset, and it was just beautiful! We both felt so happy and content, just lying there watching the sunset, listening to chilled music, sipping Bintang!

Today was Valentines Day, and I managed to surprise Ju with a valentines card that I bought back in London! We then spent the morning and lunchtime looking around the local shopping mall, which is pretty big! Ju is happy because she has now got the set! New watch, New bag, New glasses! I am just glad that she has trouble finding shoes to fit, otherwise we would be broke!!

Had an afternoon chilling in the sun/haze by the pool and then had a lovely dinner in a local restaurant in our own little Balanise hut. I had a great dish, which was beef and chicken satay, but what was so great about it was that it came on the plate with its own little wooden BBQ to keep the food warm!

Have booked up a tour for tomorrow, so going for an early night as we are up early in the morning.
